Brunetto on Education

As we prepare for college, some of our major concerns are the cost and the availability of finanical aid. The average cost of college tuition is $30,000 per year; this is only increasing.

What can Chris Brunetto do to decrease these costs?

Chris’s solutions include directing more money to universities to conduct research by eliminating earmarks (tax credits). Chris wants to make college more affordable by supporting a big increase in Pell Grants (a financial aid program) that Congress approved for needy students in 2007. He also backed the expansion of low-interest loans for middle-class families who are struggling to keep up with college tuition increases.
